Week 11:
In this week, we are given briefing about the final project, self titled. Self-titled is an exploration project for the students to express their own individuality and reflect their personality into digital art self-expression. The main idea is to build up self-confidence and discover their interest.
These are some requirement for the project:
At least 50% of camera photography
We are encouraged to take picture of object and ourself.
The duration of video is 15 seconds. Export the video in MP4.
Week 12:
Mr.Fauzi gave tutorial and basic skills in using After Effect. We are encouraged to use other elements and textures for the background. Besides, we can find loop audio sound from Youtube and add it into the animation.
Tutorial:
Kinetic Typography
Practical:
Concept:
Create a poster that visually represents the duality of my personality, showing both my extroverted, confident side with makeup and my introverted, reflective side without makeup. The poster should seamlessly merge the two sketches to illustrate how these aspects coexist within me.
Layout:
Background: Use a gradient or split background, transitioning from a bold, spicy color (like red) on one side to a softer, clear color (like beige) on the other side. This will visually represent the extroverted and introverted sides of your personality.
Sketch1 & Sketch2
·Sketch 1
-Left Side (Extroverted with Makeup)
Color: Use the spicy red background.
Text: Include the text "Myself with makeup (extroverted)" in a bold, confident font.
Illustration: Add an illustration of yourself in a dynamic pose, showing confidence and energy. This can be a digital drawing or a stylized self-portrait.
-Right Side (Introverted without Makeup)
Color: Use the clear beige background.
Text: Include the text "Without makeup (introverted)" in a softer, more introspective font.
Illustration: Add an illustration of yourself in a calm, reflective pose, showing introspection and tranquility.
·Sketch 2
-Center (Unified Personality)
Illustration: Create a central illustration combining elements from both sketches. Use the purple background from the second sketch with a central figure representing "Me, Me" to symbolize the integration of both sides of your personality.
Text: Add the words "Illustration + Background" around this central figure, emphasizing the blend of both aspects.
-Borders and Symbols:
Corner Symbols: Use the symbols from both sketches (circles and figures) in the corners, adjusting their style to match the overall aesthetic of the poster. This will provide a cohesive frame for the design.
Typography: Use consistent typography throughout the poster, varying font weights to differentiate between the extroverted and introverted sides.
·Process
Firstly, I used Illustrator to create the frame of the Poker, after that, i began put these elements on a nice place in Photoshop.
After done my first sketch, i found that i missed out the title, it's also a important element, so i found a great font to type my title.
Final poster
These are my process during made animation of my poster
I chose to began with my flower, cuz it's can decide a overall style in the poster.
I chose the《Hand Clap》to become my background, because this song has a lot of beats, which conforms to my poster with various elements, and the music is full of rhythm, I can very well create the animation I want to design.

Reflection:
During this production process, I learned how to create complex keyframe animations in After Effects and transform static designs into dynamic effects. This not only enhanced my animation production skills but also improved my understanding of color, layout, and typography. In Photoshop, by repeatedly adjusting layers and elements, I found a design scheme that best expresses my personal style and personality.
This project made me realize the importance of details. From color selection to element arrangement, every decision significantly impacted the final outcome. Although I faced some challenges, such as adjusting the smoothness of keyframe animations, through continuous trial and improvement, I achieved a satisfying result.
In the future, I hope to further enhance my design and animation production skills, pay more attention to detail and overall coordination, and explore more creative ways of expression. The experience from this project will lay a solid foundation for my future creations.
